Hi folks,

I just uploaded a new branch in our code repository that some of you
might be interested in.

It's a new feature that won't make it for 1.9.0 but that is in a
workable state.

It allows you to do guest activation by email. So, on the captive
portal, if you are a guest, you provide a valid email address and an
email with an activation link will be sent to that address. By default,
access is given for 10 minutes and if the link is clicked, then access
is given for 1 week (hardcoded for now).

You can check the source code there:
http://mtn.inverse.ca/branch/changes/org.packetfence.feature.guest-registration-by-email

Instructions for setting it up are located in:
inside repo: addons/guest-email-confirmation/README
online:
http://mtn.inverse.ca/revision/file/82365ae80e4f372f99cff2a8adb4387b3a549c90/pf/addons/guest-email-confirmation/README

If you want to give a hand, check the tasks to be done before merging in
1.9 branch:
inside repo: feature.guest-registration-by-email-TODO
online:

Have fun!
