Once again, I approach the developer's dais:
I recently opined about the check in PF to see if the vlan returned by RADIUS
is in the managed vlan list.
As I am currently preparing to move PF v4 into production I thought I would
take a look at it and see what the negative effects would be of disabling this
check.
In the file: /usr/local/pf/lib/pf/radius.pm and radius/custom.pm commenting out
the section that does the check does not produce any unwanted side effects on
my Cisco WLC or my Xirrus arrays.
I am not aware of the purpose of this feature. Could someone explain its
existence to me and what the ramifications might me to removing it?
I posted this on the dev list because it seems to be more of a feature request
than a bug.
Thank you for your time.
