Fabrice!

Done! The new commit is:

https://github.com/GodfatherOfBandwidth/packetfence/commit/964424c1f4164e8fcd1f9b4eff3df19d10b649ba

Sorry, I put the request under the wrong branch the first time. I'm still very
new to Github.

All this code does is replicate the current PFDetect module except with the
goal of parsing out the SNORT events from the syslog entries PF sees from SO.

If the devs think the new module is good enough I could endeavor to write some
more code to work in the necessary settings into the admin GUI so that the SO
integration could be done via the admin GUI similar to the current SNORT
settings.

I would also be very interested in hearing any critique of my code.

Hello Jake,

In fact it look like the pull request was based on integration branch
and this morning i recreated this branch for testing the incoming 4.2.
Can you reopen a pull request but this time based on devel branch ?

Regards
Fabrice
