I tried to upgrade our 11.0 server using the following link:

https://www.packetfence.org/doc/PacketFence_Upgrade_Guide.html

Since our server is Debian-based, I used section 4.4.2. I was a little confused by the lines that said:

 * If|libmariadb-dev|is installed on your system at a version prior to
   10.5.18
 *
If|packetfence-captive-portal-javascript|or|packetfence-doc|or|packetfence-pfappserver-javascript|are
   installed on your system*and*your PacketFence version is 12.0 or 12.1

We have libmaria-db installed and it was 10.5.11 on the old server, so that condition applies. The second condition does not apply, since the old server is not 12.0 or 12.1. Does this mean that if both conditions apply run the first set of commands or if _either_ condition apply, run the first set of commands? It seems a little vague, and it kind of seems like we ended up with both versions trying to run at the same time.

Also, after the upgrade was done, and I tried to check for new versions of config files to see if any needed merging (section 4.5), there were none to merge, which I thought was kind of odd.

I did not reboot after the upgrade, since section 4.6 said it was optional

Can someone help to determine what went wrong?
