Hi..just want to know how's pf dhcp&dns really works. I hope someone
would correct me if I am wrong

From what I have read packetfence dhcp and dns server ONLY serve dhcp &
dns request for 2 VLAN (registration and isolation), so after a
workstation success pass the registration, workstation IP allocation
will be serving by other dhcp server.

What happened with my PF is after some workstation success the
registration they still have ip address from registration ip scope (for
example registration scope is 192.168.2.100 - 192.168.2.254),why it
doest change to Normal / Default VLAN ip scope ? ( 192.168.5.100 -
192.168.5.254) ?

Is it because in my PF dhcp configuration the "default-least-time " is
300 so must wait 5 minutes ? if I want a success workstation get Normal
/ default VLAN ip scope as fast as it could, how I could do that ? do I
can do that with change 300 value into 30 so that only wait for 30
second ?

Adi Ariyanto
