Thanks for the reply. I edited :80 virtual server on template/httpd.conf but it 
didn't do the trick.

Seems to me that redir.cgi didn't read the client's MAC address and redirected 
me to 'redirecturl' even my client has opened violations.

I haven't tested remediation specifically but modifying the RewriteRule 
under the :80 virtual host in conf/templates/httpd.conf to remove the s 
in https will effectively drop https enforcement on the whole captive 
portal.
