I did my initial testing with PF Zen 1.8.7 on a Window 2003 Server
running Vmware Player 3.0.1. Getting the NICs to work was the biggest
trouble that I had.

1. I had to update the NIC driver in the Windows server to a version
that could break out VLAN tags. (Not many desktop class NIC and/or NIC
drivers will do this.)
2. Create multiple VLANs in the Windows Server NIC driver.
3. Use VMNETCFG.exe in the Vmware Player program folder to map the
Windows NIC VLANs to Virtual NICs that are then used for the VM machine
for PF Zen.
4. Then setup the NIC interfaces in PF Zen.

Thank You,
Kerry Melcher

  Hi Jose,

VMWare Workstation 7 on CentOS 5.5, this is what we use to test our PF
ZEN Workstation VM. We also test it on VMWare Fusion 3.
