Registration queuing is only relevant to ARP and/or DHCP mode. See http://www.packetfence.org/bugs/view.php?id=767. > We register over 2000 users each fall, if PF needs to log in to the > controller every time to disassociate a client from the AP, it might be > a little hefty over SSH. Is there any other suggestions? First, be aware that we have very large installations with massive registration periods that are using controllers relying on SSH and they never reported problems. That said, there's nothing like a test to make sure things will behave properly. Otherwise you might want to: a) Making pressure on the vendor so he develop an SNMP implementation of deauthentication. b) If Meru supports RFC3576 (RADIUS Disconnect-Messages, Change-of-Authorization or Packet-of-Disconnect) then we could finish our implementation and deauthentication would use RADIUS messages instead of SSH.
