Yesterday I was attempting to troubleshoot an issue that one of our
users is having.

He only has a single port in his dorm room. He wants to use the
Internet with his computer and to play Xbox Live. To accomplish this
he switches cables between his computer and his Xbox. However when he
switches the cable to his Xbox the port appears dead. I went over to
his room and tested with my laptop and could reproduce the results.
However if he plugs his laptop in everything works fine.

So my standard trick is the clear the port intrusion flag
(clear-intrusion-flag) on the switch to see if something got messed
up. That did not fix the issue with either the Xbox or my laptop. His
laptop however continued to work fine.

Any ideas as to what could be going on how to troubleshoot this
further? The packetfence logs are really noisy so it is hard to find
issues that are going on in there.

Thanks,
