Hey Guys,

First of all, the Nortel 425 works fine without port-security trap, using LinkUp\Down traps.

as for the Port Security traps, the trap i get when i set it up according to what the manual suggest for the 470 is this:

      enterprise: 1.3.6.1.4.1.45.1.6.2.1 (iso.3.6.1.4.1.45.1.6.2.1)
            agent-addr: 10.0.10.2 (10.0.10.2)
            generic-trap: enterpriseSpecific (6)
            specific-trap: 5
            time-stamp: 72342
            variable-bindings: 3 items
                1.3.6.1.4.1.45.1.6.5.3.12.1.1.1.20:
                    Object Name: 1.3.6.1.4.1.45.1.6.5.3.12.1.1.1.20 (iso.3.6.1.4.1.45.1.6.5.3.12.1.1.1.20)
                    Value (Integer32): 1
                1.3.6.1.4.1.45.1.6.5.3.12.1.2.1.20:
                    Object Name: 1.3.6.1.4.1.45.1.6.5.3.12.1.2.1.20 (iso.3.6.1.4.1.45.1.6.5.3.12.1.2.1.20)
                    Value (Integer32): 20
                1.3.6.1.4.1.45.1.6.5.3.12.1.3.1.20: 0019db3a751a
                    Object Name: 1.3.6.1.4.1.45.1.6.5.3.12.1.3.1.20 (iso.3.6.1.4.1.45.1.6.5.3.12.1.3.1.20)
                    Value (OctetString): 0019db3a751a

it'll be great if the 470 module would support those traps from the 425s, but in the meanwhile we'll be testing the load with LinkUp\Down traps only.

Cheers,
Ereli Eran

It looks like the vendor has been messing around with it's SNMP OID's
between firmware revisions and/or hardware revisions..

Unfortunately we don't have access to a 425 here and we are very busy
with paying customers.. priorities you know.. So it might take a couple
of days but we'll eventually get back to you here and in the ticket you
filed (thank you for that btw).

Meanwhile, it's clear that an OID we relied upon is missing from the 425
so you might want to grab the MIBs and start looking for an alternative
OID yourself. Or get in touch with us and become one of those lucky
paying customers ;)

Cheers everyone!
