Yeah... I can see the snmptraps coming in and I can use snmpwalk to browse the switch...
Disconnecting and reconnecting don't seem to help... it's when I register the node (at which point it should as well switch from VLAN 4 to VLAN1) that I get the open location log error.. -Dan From: Sallee, Stephen (Jake) [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Wednesday, March 09, 2011 9:50 AM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [Packetfence-users] A couple of problems.. In your new config on the server are the SNM community settings correct? As for the no open location log, others may correct me (please do if I am wrong) but I think that is caused by PF not seeing the endpoint come online. Which makes sense in a production environment that preexisting connections would not have an entry in the location log. Does disconnecting and reconnecting the endpoint help at all? I had everything set up and working so I know my switch is configured right... and then my hard drive up and died... so I lost all my configurations and stuff... So I rebuilt my server and re-install packetfence... I put my switchport's in VLAN 4, and I see it detect the DHCP and SNMPTRAP, but it fails to move the VLAN around... I get these errors: Mar 09 08:54:09 pfsetvlan(4) INFO: nb of items in queue: 1; nb of threads running: 0 (main::startTrapHandlers) Mar 09 08:54:10 pfsetvlan(4) WARN: Can't determine Uplinks for the switch -> do nothing (pf::vlan::doWeActOnThisTrap) Mar 09 08:54:10 pfsetvlan(4) INFO: doWeActOnThisTrap returns false. Stop mac handling (main::handleTrap) Mar 09 08:54:10 pfsetvlan(4) INFO: finished (main::cleanupAfterThread) And then when it's trying to move VLAN's I deleted my old logs but will generate new ones tonight.. but I get an error of: Can't change vlan for <MAC> because no open locationlog Any ideas and/or suggestions would be appreciated...
