Hi,
Well, we tested Nexus 1000v switch, and its not working very well with
the way we currently do things. It is designed with profiles tied with
vCenter. So, no, you cannot virtualize the hardware part, sorry!

Hello All,
Is it possible to 'virtualise' the switch component of the solution?
We are interested in a demo/lab environment of Packetfence, but would
like it to be completely portable (eg. a laptop or two) so that it's
mobile for demonstrations to management and customers.
Any ideas?
Cheers,
Grant

it guess it may be possible to use a virtual switch, like Cisco's
Nexus 1000v.
but i haven't tried it yet.
