Ok, I think I finally got things figured out, once again it was stupid user error. It looks like the two switches had the same IP configured. What was weird is that Windows and Linux machines would seem to work fine but Apple's would not. Maybe it was just a coincidence. So that brings up the next question does anybody have suggestions on the best way to deploy HP switches, right now we do it by hand which is error prone.
