I'm currently running a high volume deployment. I have over 1,000 48 port
switches configured with link up/down snmp trap notifications.I know this
isn't the optimal configuration, but unfortunately it is what I have to
work with. Anyhow I've noticed that my queue number keeps growing (nb of
items in queue: 31; nb of threads running: 8 (main::startTrapHandlers)) and
as the queue gets higher, I'm not getting the node details and triggers
that I'm expecting.

Is there a way to optimize the traphandlers for high volume situations? Any
suggestions (other than port security) to be able to accommodate such a
high volume?

Thanks,

Josh
