Hi,

does anybody out there track their VOIP phone numbers in the packetfence
node (or other) mysql table? We are looking for an easy way to associate a
phone number with a switch port. I'd think the easiest way to do this would
be to associate the phone number with the VOIP phone mac address which is
already stored in the node table along with its switch ip address and port.
So I'm assuming all that needs to be done is to add as additional column to
the node table for the phone number and manually (?) update the field for
the associated mac address. Or instead of manually updating the phone
number, maybe add code to use lldp-med or possibly snmp to get the phone
number? Any thoughts or suggestions would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Kevin
