Regarding adding new cellphone carriers and how sms registration works, A sms
is nothing but an e-mail, they work more or less the same way. In order to add
a new cellphone carrier, you need to update your sms_carriers table in your
mysql database. If you run a:select * from sms_carriers;in mysql cli, you should
be able to see all the available sms_carriers.You just need to find out what is
the email_pattern (aka the sms server) of the carriers you are planning to use,
and add it to the database.Let's say that you want to add "Ducky
Communications" as your carrier, which uses sms.duckymessages.com as a SMS/Mail
server, then you need to create a record in sms_carrieres table with the
following pattern,
id, name, email_pattern, date_created, date_modified100119, Ducky
Communcations, %[email protected], <TIMESTAMP>, <TIMESTAMP>
The sms registration works pretty much the same as e-mail registration.

Subject: [Packetfence-users] email/sms registration

Hello everyone-

I've an inline set up running. When a client connects, captive portal is pushed
and the client is able to sign up by keying in their email or cellphone no.
However, email registration is not working. No email is being sent to the
client for registration. And the client continues to have internet access
despite this. How can I correct this? Also, can I limit to one device per email
address?

Next question: the cellphone carriers that I plan to use are not listed here.
How can I add them here and solve this issue? I'm not understanding how this
sms registration works.

Thanks in advance for your guidance.

regards,
Walter
