Ian, ifconfig will show you IP info - it's equivalent to ipconfig in windows.

I see that all of the Vlan interfaces have static IP addresses, but for Vlan 1 (Management Vlan-eth0) it is set to DHCP. Since PF is handling all of the DHCP requests, how can an IP address be assigned to eth0 on startup of the VM? Secondly, why would you want your Management Vlan's IP to be dynamic? How would you be able to manage the VM if the IP of Vlan 1 is reassigned and not known to the administrator. The reason I bring this up is because in an earlier post by Giovanni Messina - Bizmate s.r.l. ... Olivier Bilodeau responded with this comment: "Start the vm. Find it's eth0 IP (documented in ZEN Install guide) and point your browser to it (documented in ZEN install guide)." Again, my question is how can I find out the interface of eth0 if it is configured for DHCP? Any insight would be much appreciated. Thank you. -Ian Stewart ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ This SF email is sponsosred by: Try Windows Azure free for 90 days Click Here http://p.sf.net/sfu/sfd2d-msazure _______________________________________________ Packetfence-users mailing list [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/packetfence-users ________________________________ Nuffield College is a Registered Charity No. 1137506.
