Wanted:
1) Code that lets any LDAP-authenticated user manually register a MAC address
for a browser-less embedded device. I see that Andrew Niemantsverdriet and
others have written such a thing. While not too hard, I'd rather code-review
what you have than write my own.
2) violations.conf samples that work at your college/university for
auto-registering certain fingerprints. Again, not that hard to do, but I'll
happily review your configuration for possible errors. :-)
In case anyone's interested, I stuck a possible, but unpalatable, workaround
for DHCP Vendor Class as an alternative/supplement to DHCP options
fingerprinting at http://www.packetfence.org/bugs/view.php?id=1060
