My issue is similar to the other problem somebody is reporting but with the
opposite problem. I'm doing guest self registration and am able to get the
mail ok but the activation link fails on the inline network. However
it does work after the 10 min grace period has expired and the node is
unregistered again so I assume the issue is in the Apache rewriting for the
temporarily registered user. Can you point me in the right direction for
fixing it?
Oh, I don't think this is necessarily related because of
the symptoms but but a lot of lines like this: Constant subroutine
ModPerl::ROOT::ModPerl::PerlRun::usr_local_pf_html_captive_2dportal_email_activation_2ecgi::_POSIX_CHILD_MAX
redefined at /usr/lib/perl5/ModPerl/Util.pm line 69.
are showing up in the error log. They include variations with PC_PATH_MAX,
ENODEV, NAME_MAX, ECHOK, UINT_MAX and others were POSIX_CHILD_MAX is while
the rest of the line is the same. Any idea what that is and if it's
actually a problem?
I would also like to figure out how it may possible to use different
firewall access rules for guests in inline mode. We have been running guest
service where necessary on a different SSID and vlan with very limited
access and a small wireless captive portal. But moving it over to
packet-fence very few of our wireless devices can run the requirements for
vlan mode so we have to use inline for guests and still need the access
rules in our current firewall.
