FWIW, I keep radacct trimmed to about 500K rows because I have observed the node table getting blocked. mysqladmin processlist actually shows LOCKED state. Yes, both radacct and node are InnoDB, but maybe something about aggregate operations or fkeys or triggers creates the possibility of deadlock.
I'm running fully patched RHEL 6, MySQL 5.1.61-4.el6.x86_64, Xen VM on a quite fast SAN. I'm still running PacketFence 3.4.1. I probably won't be able to upgrade to 3.5 or to do a lot more troubleshooting until October. -- Rich Graves http://claimid.com/rcgraves Carleton.edu Sr UNIX and Security Admin ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Live Security Virtual Conference Exclusive live event will cover all the ways today's security and threat landscape has changed and how IT managers can respond.
