FWIW, I keep radacct trimmed to about 500K rows because I have observed the 
node table getting blocked. mysqladmin processlist actually shows LOCKED state. 
Yes, both radacct and node are InnoDB, but maybe something about aggregate 
operations or fkeys or triggers creates the possibility of deadlock.

I'm running fully patched RHEL 6, MySQL 5.1.61-4.el6.x86_64, Xen VM on a quite 
fast SAN.

I'm still running PacketFence 3.4.1. I probably won't be able to upgrade to 3.5 
or to do a lot more troubleshooting until October.
