Jake, If you go into the git repo and find the id you can see the code changes directly. I looked at the changes and then edited the file the same way.
Now that being said, I'm on 3.5.0 so I know that if I was to upgrade to 3.5.1 I would have to re-modify that file. Yes it does make pulling up node details much faster.
