I have a project, where I want to allow access to the internet for registered guest. I already asked about solving this as a WPA2-EAP scenario, but this seems to be too much for me atm. To keep things simple I wanted to try to use the captive portal, but I got stuck. Since I'm able to store guest in the MySQL DB (at least I suppose that's what the "https://.../guests/manage"; interface does) I would like users to authenticate against that DB. What would be the way to go and why can't I find any information on that in the web?
