The apple devices check if they can open "
http://www.apple.com/library/test/success.html";, and if not it opens the "log
in" dialog, to better work with captive portals. I read in the mailing list
somewhere you need a trusted certificate, then the pf portal will work. I just
added the following to pf.conf

[trapping]
passthrough=proxy

[passthroughs]
name=http://www.apple.com/library/test/success.html

Subject: [PacketFence-users] Apple iOS6 devices do not work on PF wifi networks

Is anyone else running into this issue? I try to connect an iOS6 ipad to a
wifi network managed by PF captive portal.

When connecting ipad spits out: "Error opening page" "Hotspot login could not
open the page because the server stopped responding.

Does anyone have a work around/run into this problem before? Not sure what
needs to be done.

Thanks
