Have you looked at using Microsoft NAP for the Posture Accessment.  It only
covers windows workstations, no Mac, Linux, iPad, iPhone, Android, etc.

We deveoped a small program for Posture Assessment that scans Windows
workstations for one of my accounts. The school technicians run the program
before approving Packetfence connections to the network.
