Please forgive me if this is a silly question, which I suspect it is, but I've
beat my head against it for a bit with nothing but a headache to show…
In trying to get proxying to a Windows NPS group working, I'm running radiusd
in debug, but I never see anything related to the registration attempt in the
radius output.
Packetfence 4.0.1
Centos 6.4
Juniper EX4200 test switch
Remote radius server (MS NPS proxy) defined in authentication sources
Freeradius running in foreground: /usr/sbin/radiusd –d /usr/local/pf/raddb –X
Radtest works
Conf files in raddb at default except for proxy.conf at the moment.
Switch configured as per the network device guide, and appears to work – if
test client is rebooted or port bounced, VLAN changes to the defined
Registration VLAN, and radius output is generated, and the node is added as
unregistered in PF
When I attempt to register, tcpdump see packets going from PF box to NPS box,
but nothing shows in radius debug.
Windows event logs show the request getting to the NPS proxy, and also the
login failure at the final NPS box (auth-type = PAP, but that's a different
problem).
So, should I not see anything in the radius debug output from the captive
portal/registration page?
Thank you for your time,
Tim Palmer
