I'm looking to implement a new Packfence deployment on another part of our
network, to mimic the one we setup for the halls of residence last year with
great success. However I've setup version 4.0.1 and struggled to get proxy
passthrough to work to allow users to the setup pages when trapped in the
captive portal. I have logged a call with Packetfence who told me that this
feature has been forgotten for 4.0.1 and will be put back in for the next
version.
This surprises me greatly, are there other people using the proxy bypass
feature? If so, what is the latest version you have gone up to without losing
this ability? I'd rather install a slightly older version while I get a chance
in this summer break, and the upgrade to version 4.x in the future once this
feature has been reintroduced.
