Thanks for the reply.

In regard to the default role - I had modified the vlan custom.pm file
similar to how it was done in 3.6 and this seemed to be causing major
problems with it assigning vlans via the new role method. 

We are looking forward to the upcoming releases.

The bypass vlan definition is currently missing from the Web admin, but
we'll add it for the next release.
