        Just spent a bit of time trying to figure out why LDAP broke after
upgrading to 4.0.2.  With 4.0.0 and 4.0.1, I had to use a url-style
syntax when I specified the ldap host.  This is no longer true with 4.0.2.

        So, if you specified your host like this :

ldaps://ldap.example.com

        You need to remove the ldaps:// to get it to work.  It's easy enough to
do this right in the conf/authentication.conf file.

Inverse,

        Was this an intended change?  It makes sense, but was unexpected and
not listed in the announcement changelog..
