Hello,
add your switch in the gui and set the correct radius secret.
Then because freeradius is the only part of packetfence that is not dynamic do a bin/pfcmd service radiusd restart (packetfence will import switch in the database) and retry. If there is more problem then launch radius in debug mode radiusd -d /usr/local/pf/raddb/ -X

Hello everyone,

After installing Packet Fence and having device detection working the next step was to configure the Radius server. After the basic configuration found in the administration guide and configuring a switch to reach the server nothing happens. In fact the switch responds with a "server dead" message. What i understand is that radius uses mysql to load its configuration. What i'm missing is how do i configure radius like this. Checking the database created for packet fence i found a table called radacct, my guess is that the data from this table is the one used to get user data to the radius server.

I'm using centOS 6.4 and a cisco 2960 switch.

Thanks in advance
