Hi all,
Has anyone successfully setup an active/passive Packetfence pair using the
instructions in the admin guide? I've successfully got the DRBD side working I
think, and now I'm trying to configure heartbeat. So far there have been some
bits that have changed since that section of the admin guide was written, so
I'm making my own documentation along the way, but I'm stuck at the next stage.
The admin guide says to put the following in the haresources file, replacing
the relevant parts:
pf1.example.com Ipaddr2::x.x.x.x IfUp::eth0.y IfUp::eth0.z drbddisk::mysql
Filesystem::/dev/drbd0::/var/lib/mysql::ext3 mysqld packetfence
I was hoping I would be able to have a virtual name for pf1.example.com, and a
virtual address for Ipaddr2::x.x.x.x but it seems (according to the
linux-ha.org user guide) that this needs to actually be the result of 'uname
-m' on the server and the actual contactable address, but it also says that the
haresources file needs to be identical on both servers. I'm confused how I can
have two running PCs with the same name and IP address.
Cheers,
Andi
