Hi Max,
Make sure your logs are being rotated properly. You might want to change the
rotation schedule so they are rotated more frequently.
Also check out what is your current log level. You should not be logging at
more than INFO for normal operations (no DEBUG or TRACE).
You will find that in conf/log.conf.
There is nothing wrong with deleting old files.
Just make sure you restart PF if you delete or move the currently used log
file.
Old (closed) files are fair game.
