Hi Mansoor,
the Question is where do you start Packetfence ZEN from?
Did you already install it to a Server?
Did you Start it from an USB Stick
or did you start it from a DVD?
If you installed it to a Server you should be able to update it with using
sudo apt-get update
and
sudo apt-get upgrade
in the Terminal while the Server is connected properly to the Internet.
(Beware you need one Controller on the Internet with maybe an DHCP Address
on the VLAN you use for Internet Access)
Also if its not enabled already within the ZEN Installer you need to
manually add the Packetfence Repositorys
to the /etc/apt/sources.list before executing the above mentioned
commands.
To do so you need to do the following
To install PacketFence or upgrade to the latest version, you simply have
to add the Inverse repository
deb http://inverse.ca/downloads/PacketFence/debian wheezy wheezy
Then do:
sudo apt-key adv --keyserver keys.gnupg.net --recv-key 0x810273C4
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade
If you burned PF Zen to a DVD and did not Install it yet you will not be
able to update it.
If you installed it to your USB Stick and started it from there you also
might not be able to Update it
if the partitions are write protected. Dont know that correct since i
already installed PF.
