We're looking to roll out PacketFence into our main campus wifi network over
the next year and I'm keen to implement the IDS and SoH plugins. I've played
about with the SoH before, and it seemed to work fairly well, but there were
sometimes issues. EG, when the Microssoft Security Essentials AV software
updated itself it would very briefly disable and re-enable itself, which would
in turn trigger an SoH violation.
Admittedly that was 18 months ago, and I imagine lots of things have been
updated since, the AV software, the SoH FR plugin, and obviously the
Packetfence architecture has had a massive overhaul, so I'm looking forward to
trying it out, but I was wondering how many people on this list actually use
the freeradius SoH plugin alongside packetfence? If so, how have you found it?
