Hoping someone can direct me to the right module...
Scenario - PF3.6.1 used for Hospitality access - guests are provided with a
Bandwidth capped free 24 hours access, or they can pay for an unlimited
bandwidth time period.
Currently, guests self-register to access Internet, and get moved from
Registration VLAN to the Normal VLAN. Once here, they can access the network
freely, but this usage is capped by the Bandwidth Limit Violation trap. On
hitting the limit, the violation is triggered and they move to the Isolation
VLAN correctly and get the Quarantine screen. At this point I want to change
how PF operates...
Currently, I can either leave them there, unable to do anything apart from wait
for their registration period to expire, or I can enable the AutoEnable button
so that they can get themselves moved back to the Normal VLAN (which also has
the desired effect of directing them back to the trapping.redirecturl.)
But what I WANT it to do is this - the Enable button to actually push them back
to the Registration VLAN and to display the billing.html screen so that they
know that to extend their internet usage they have to pay (no more freebies!!)
Somewhere in the script is the piece of code that tells that Enable Network
button what to do (as without manual intervention within PF administration,
that is the only way for a guest to get their device out of Isolation.) I need
to modify it to do 2 things -
1 - instead of moving device from Isolation to Normal, move from Isolation to
Registration
2 - Don't use the generic trapping.redirecturl, but instead go to the Billing
page
We currently don't have any other Violations enabled (although this may change
in the future), so for now the change in button behavior could be global, but
would be better if could be Violation specific (eg we could limit the free
access in other ways too / incentive-ize the payment option)
