Hi,
I¹m trying to start the portal but get an error when I have trapping
detection enabled. I have snort installed on debian using apt-get snort
install and selected in packetfence.
packetfence:/usr/local/pf/bin# ./pfcmd service httpd.portal start
httpd.admin|already running
Checking configuration sanity...
FATAL - monitor interface not defined, please disable trapping.detection or
set an interface type=...,monitor in pf.conf
I¹m not sure how to set an interface type, monitor in pf.conf.
I tried to put interface.type="eth1 eth1.10 eth1.20² in pf.conf and it
didn¹t work. I get this error:
FATAL - unknown configuration parameter general.interface.type if you added
the parameter yourself make sure it is present in conf/documentation.conf
I also tried adding to pf.conf:
[trapping.detection]
type=toggle
options=enabled
description=="eth1 eth1.10 eth1.20²
I get the same error.
Does anyone have any idea what I¹m doing wrong?
