I've checked and don't see a lot of documentation or coverage regagrding device auto-registration ---
If I plug in a cisco ip phone, sometimes I see that this is auto registered and in the notes field, there is a "AUTO-REGISTERED" comment. Where is this controlled? I know the fingerprinting comes from dhcp_fingerprints.conf, and violations.conf handles the other use cases, but I don't see where the auto-registration takes place. I have a thin client terminal that is auto registering incorrectly as a VOIP device (and it is not a voip device). I'd like to mod the settings, but have no idea where.
