Hello,
I'm using packetfence 4.0.6, when I'm doing the scan after registration on the
captive-portal, I'm getting the message that the machine with ip adress
xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx and mac adress xxx, is still scanning and hasn't finished, we
get the message on captive-portal that: "... if it happens more than one hour
please contact with support. "
On the packefence.log, there were the following information:
Mar 11 14:32:19 pfcmd.pl(4912) INFO: New ID generated: 1394544739755840
(pf::util::generate_id)
Mar 11 14:32:20 pfcmd.pl(4912) INFO: Instantiate a new vulnerability scanning
engine object of type pf::scan::openvas. (pf::scan::instantiate_scan_engine)
Mar 11 14:32:20 pfcmd.pl(4912) INFO: Creating a new scan target named
1394544739755840 for host xxx.xx.x.xx (pf::scan::openvas::createTarget)
Mar 11 14:32:23 pfmon(0) INFO: running expire check (main::cleanup)
Mar 11 14:32:23 pfmon(0) INFO: checking registered nodes for expiration

Mar 11 14:32:23 pfmon(0) INFO: checking violations for expiration

Mar 11 14:32:23 pfmon(0) INFO: checking accounting data for potential bandwidth
abuse (main::cleanup)
Mar 11 14:32:23 pfmon(0) INFO: getting violations triggers for accounting

Mar 11 14:32:23 pfmon(0) INFO: Calling node acct maintenance total with monthly
and 1 for 21474836480 (pf::accounting::acct_maintenance)
But on the openvas console, I haven't seen the new task with this name
1394544739755840. If I'm creating a new task manually with the ip adress of
the machine to scan, the scan is done well.
On the pf.conf file is set up like:
[scan]
engine=openvas
registration=enabled
host=localhost
user=admin
pass=xxxx
openvas_port=9392
openvas_configid=openvas_configid=74db13d6-7489-11df-91b9-002264764cea
openvas_reportformatid=9ca6fe72-1f62-11e1-9e7c-406186ea4fc5
On violation.log:
2014-03-11 14:32:12: System Scan (1200001) detected on node xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx
(xxx.xxx.x.xx)
Please, let me to know how can I solve this situation.
Regards,
Beatriz.
