Hi List,
We are currently testing the "routed vlan" architecture with pf 4.1,
We have configured local registration and isolation networks (192.168.5.1/24 on
eth1.5 and 192.168.6.1/24 on eth1.6, respectively)
The local production and management network is 192.168.3.30/24 (on eth0)
The remote registration vlans and isolation vlans are all routed correctly to
the local registration and isolation interfaces.
The registration process is ok, but we have only 1 small concern left:
On the Node menu (https://192.168.3.30:1443/admin/nodes), we can see the IP
address of registered users.
We can also see the IP address of unregistered users in the local production
network (192.168.3.0/24).
However we cannot see the IP address of unregistered nodes in Registration
VLAN, where pf is the DHCP server.
We can see the DHCP traffic coming in and out the registration interface, and
the dhcplistener is listening on eth1.5,
We can see the list of IP address in the
https://192.168.3.30:1443/admin/nodes#nodeIpLog page, but not on the main
"Nodes" page.
It seems like the internal dhcpd server is unable to write the IP address in
the right place, for some reason.
So here are my questions :
- In packetfence Nodes page, where does the IP address listed come from ? is
that Radius, the local mysql table ?
- in pf.conf, "dhcpservers" shoud include : the production dhcp servers ? the
registrations & isolations dhcp servers ? both ? neither?
Thanks for your insights
Fred
