Hello,
In the doc i can see that you can configure your switch to do 802.1x or
mac-auth, use this instead of snmp and select the 2960 switch module.

Hi all,
first I'm new to Packet Fence and this is my first post here.
I'm trying to install it with some Cisco SG300 (SR2048-K9-EU model).
I'm using the ZEN appliance for my tests.
I successfully connected the switch with SNMP V3. Though, I receive
traps notification when a link changes for example.
I choose Linksys::SRW224G4, and I have some encouraging results with
this choice. ( better results than using Cisco::Catalyst_3550 as a type)
Next step would be to change VLAN ID for 1 port, and for doing so, I'm
trying to use pfcmd_vlan.
testing read information on Port 8 ( I found index 56 is port 8):
# /usr/local/pf/bin/pfcmd_vlan -getAlias -switch 10.19.1.31 -ifIndex 56
test2
# /usr/local/pf/bin/pfcmd_vlan -getMAC -switch 10.19.1.31 -ifIndex 56
00:26:B9:A5:E2:FC
Changing VLAN test:
# /usr/local/pf/bin/pfcmd_vlan -setVlan -vlan 2471 -switch 10.19.1.31
-ifIndex 56
new VLAN: 1
As you can see, my command does not change the VLAN as I expected.
I see that SG300 is not supported device (yet ?) but I'd like to know
where to look to make it work. I suspect the developer's guide should
contain some information, but I'm a bit lost with this now.
I've seen few but some posts saying that they succeed using this SG300
switch so I still believe it will be possible
Thanks for your help
