It depend, if your acces point support radius then use it, if no then use inline.

And of course you can change the look of the portal, in configuration -> portal profile -> files you can edit the html files.

    users, just a one of usage with a limit. And for the accounting is

    only some NAS or all NAS support this, I'm not entirely clear on

    Hey Andrew,

    i suppose you want to use packetfence with wireless access point.
    To be able to have accounting then you will use mac-auth, it mean that
    in your access point you will have to configure a radius server for
    authentication and you will probably be able to configure a radius
    server for accounting.
    So if it?s possible then configure packetfence as the radius server
    (port 1812 for auth and 1813 for accounting).

    If no then it will be inline mode and you will have to use
    pfbandwidth.
