This may be a dumb question but I am just attempting to install a 3rd party SSL
certificate on our packetfence installation. Our client computers are not all
managed by us so we cannot use a self signed certificate.
The administrator guide states: Upon PacketFence installation, self-signed
certificates will be created in /usr/local/pf/conf/ssl(server.key and
server.crt). Those certificates can be replaced anytime by your 3rd-party or
existingwildcard certificate without problems. Please note that the CN (Common
Name) needs to be the same asthe one defined in the PacketFence configuration
file (pf.conf).
I couldn't find anywhere that tells me where to generate the request? Can
anyone point me in the right direction for some steps to generate the request
for the certificate? If there is an obvious answer to this I am missing it and
I apologize for posting.
thanksBrian
