This has now been resolved by Louis using our support contract with yourselves.
Thanks for the response however.
It looked like the database was hitting the max_connections limit, and needed
some tuning.

12846 due to rate-limiting
Sep 23 14:02:11 pfence01 rsyslogd-2177: imuxsock begins to drop messages from
pid 12846 due to rate-limiting
Sep 23 14:02:13 pfence01 rsyslogd-2177: imuxsock lost 127 messages from pid
12846 due to rate-limiting
Pid 12846 is dhcpd.
