Hi All,
I am a reasonable happy Packetfence user/admin for over the past two years.
We are using it inline for our Guest users with a WLC5508 controller.
Guest users are only allowed internet access so for that case Packetfence
is working beautifully.
Now I'm having a new thought,
I want to create a new SSID. It should be encrypted (EAP/TLS?)
Users connecting (mostly IT Admins/Consultants) should be hitting the
captive portal, where they can register themselves.
They do not use Active Directory joined computers, so foreign from our
point of view
After their account is approved packetfence should allow them internal lan
acces (another vlan I presume)
I have been reading several days into this matter, but I find myself stuck
in lots of reading material and have lost directions.
Can anyone be of assistance?
The questions
- Can I find a howto somewhere?
- We have our own RootCA, can I use those certificates for the wireless
encryption?
- I have no registration VLAN in the WLC, should I create it?
- ...
- Any caveats?
- Actually, the main question is: can someone point me in the right
direction?
