Currently, for campus residents, there is one SSID that is broadcast in all
dorms. We currently run an aging CCA server and it handles the 5000 devices
with little problem. I am having difficulty finding system reqs for
PacketFence.
I'd be running it only for Cisco WLC with PF doing the Webauth and guest
registrations. I'm at 5000 devices now, but would expect that to grow. Can I
handle this with one PF box, and what kind of spec's would it need to have?
I'm planning on putting all wireless clients in a DMZ and backending it with
SourceFire to weed out the particularly bad offenders. Pie in the sky, is I'd
run snort on the PF box too for some enforcement there too.
