Hi,
I am trying to get PacketFence LiveCd working to see if it will provide the
solution I am looking for. The idea is this, X86 host with 2 NICs running PF
Zen, on one network connection 3 worksations with static IP's on the second
network conenction different subnet set and a NAS box connected. PF to ensure
only the 3 designated workstations can access the NAS unit once they are
authenticated. Any other workstation connected to network even with static IP
will not get access to the NAS unit. There will be no internet connectibvity
with this system.
Is this scenario possible to achieve with PF Zen ??
I have a 64bit computer with 2 NIC's and I have connected eth0 to our office
LAN for purpose of testing. I can connected to the PF host on eth0 and set
"inline mode" but I cannot set eth2 as it says it is not enabled. What do I
need to do to get eth1 enabled and a static IP set on it ? We will not be
using VLANS so inline has to be used.
Can the LiveCD version be written to hard disk so that all setting are saved ?
If someone can point me in the right direction it will be most appreciated.
Thank you.
best regards
Peter
