Hi!

Thanks in advance. I'm a Software Engineer last year student, but not
really familiar with any networking knowledge. I know the basics things.
Really not familiar with VLANs or anything.

In the internships I was told to do a captive portal to manage the network
place, so that people could not get to sites like Facebook, Twitter, among
others.

Apart from that, we also wanted was a Squid server to reduce the bandwidth
of the pages consulted frequently.

I made a first attempt, setting PF on a computer with Debian 7, but after
many errors, I decided to use the ZEN VM.

After configuring the VM I find the way in which control connections and
make the captive portal. Upgrade the virtual machine and is now documented
while it seems more complicated and understand less.

What I want to know if I can help as a guide or something which can know I
have to do to configure the VM properly.

The theoretical settings should be 3 types of users, staff, students and
the public, where employees can access all kinds of content, students can
access restrictions and public has a maximum time to stay connected.

Thank you very much for everything.

I'm sorry for the english. Thank you againg.
