I turned up debugging as requested previously but we are not getting
anymore information. Is there something I need to do to get debug messages
besides this
log4perl.rootLogger = DEBUG, LOGFILE in log.conf?
What do we need to do to decide if there is a bug or not? I came in this
morning to several new complaints from over the weekend. It's getting
disruptive enough that people are going to insist that I remove
Packetfence.
Here is the string of errors I get in the log when the problem happens
after registration:
May 15 10:50:06 httpd.portal(27526) WARN: Can't find provisioner for
40:16:7e:3a:43:3f since we don't have it's OS

it doesn't exist (pf::node::node_register)

(pf::enforcement::reevaluate_access)
May 15 10:50:06 httpd.portal(27526) WARN: Can't find provisioner for
40:16:7e:3a:43:3f since we don't have it's OS
(pf::Portal::Profile::findProvisioner)
May 15 10:50:06 httpd.portal(27540) INFO: Matched IP '172.16.2.49' to MAC
address '40:16:7e:3a:43:3f' using OMAPI (pf::iplog::ip2mac)
When I get these errors and I have been on site to confirm the Mac address
in question never shows up in ipset after a successful registration until I
restart packetfence.
No reference to the MAC address shows up in pfdhcplistener.log.
What else can I do to provide information?
I am going to see if I can find a way to replicate the error but so far
it's not at all consistent.
