Hi,

today i tried to install packetfence 5.1 on a debian wheezy box.

I followed the steps on the installation page (
http://www.packetfence.org/support/faqs/article/how-to-install-packetfence-on-debian.html
 ) , but the install doesn’t work.

I receive the message that i can run the configuration on
https://@ip_packetfence:1443/configurator but there is no service running on
this port.

The httpd.admin service refuses to start because the access is denied to the
mysql server.

I created the database manually and imported pf-schema.sql from
/usr/local/pf/db/, i changed the database settings in
/usr/local/pf/conf/pfconfig.conf and i copied pf.conf.example to pf.conf and
changed the database settings.

Now the startup scripts complains about interface, i tried to add the following
in /usr/local/pf/conf/networks.conf but it doesn’t work.

[interface eth0]
ip=xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
type=management
mask=255.255.255.0

[interface eth1]
ip=10.133.219.78
type=internal
mask=255.255.255.0

Is there a newer version of the installation docs for debian available?

Kr,
Bram
