Debian Wheezy Packetfence 5.1.0 ethernet 1 - management ethernet 2 vlans 401 registration - vlan 402 isolation
I have been running version 4 series packetfence without issue and just rebuilt a machine with 5.1.0 and tested with the same config/interfaces/etc that I have been running the other versions with. It passed, but once in production I am being alerted several times an hour that phdhcplistener has died. It is most common on ether2.401 but sometimes will include ethernet 1. The only log that I am finding is the cronjob finding an improperly stopped service and it being restarted. I don't have multiple instances of dhcplistener running.. just the 3 for the interfaces that I have. Sometimes it is being restarted every 5 minutes... other times it will run for an hour or so and then restart only 3 or times an hour. There doesn't seem to be a pattern that I can see. I am lightly loaded at this time with only approx 300 registrations and less then that online. suggestions?
