I am struggling with trying to do the same thing. Here’s how I have it set up,
let me know if there’s a better way.

I have one main portal profile, called Landing. It has no sources, but has
three buttons on the page that allow users to select email, sms, or sponsor,
via the following HTML:

              <a class="btn" href="[% URL_SIGNUP %]?reg=sms&destination_url=[%
destination_url %]">Register by Text Message</a>

              <a class="btn" href="[% URL_SIGNUP
%]?reg=email&destination_url=[% destination_url %]">Register by Email</a>

              <a class="btn" href="[% URL_SIGNUP
%]?reg=sponsor&destination_url=[% destination_url %]">Register by Faculty/Staff
Sponsor</a>

I have another portal profile, called Email. It has one user sources, email. It
has one filter as well, URI reg=email. However, when I go to the captive portal
and click on ‘email’ which generates the link I think it should
(packetfence/signup?reg=email&destination=google.com), I don’t get the portal
profile with the URI filter.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Gary

Hey Louis,

Thanks for that info – I’m more concerned about a link at the first page that
points to a different portal profile.

So User hits the default profile and can login using user/ pass OR can press a
link to take them to a different portal profile for sms authentication… hope
that explains it… it seemed like a simple one liner added to the html file but
I’m a noob and cannot remember that for the life of me.

I think I know what you mean.

That is actually dynamic.
You need to have an SMS authentication source configured first, then you need
to associate that source with the portal profile.

Then the link should show up automatically.

Let me know if you can’t get it to work. I have one foot out the door but we
can look at it again tomorrow.

Regards,
